A Place Where a Legacy Began… and Lives On

There is something profoundly meaningful about coming home.

At the corner of Bryant Street and Arch Street, a small island now stands as a permanent tribute—but its significance reaches far beyond what the eye can see. This is not just a location. This is where it all began.

In the shadow of his childhood home, War Memorial Park just steps away, Officer Michael Thomas Kominsky Sr. once ran these very streets as a boy—the Chief’s son, full of life, purpose, and possibility. These were the sidewalks where he learned who he was long before the badge ever rested on his chest.

He played basketball until the sun went down, chasing dreams between cracked pavement and echoing laughter. He cast fishing lines into familiar waters, learning patience, quiet strength, and reflection. These were not just childhood moments—they were the building blocks of the man he would become.

To stand at this island today is to stand at the intersection of past and present.

It is where a young boy once looked ahead, never knowing the impact he would have.It is where a man answered the call to serve, carrying forward a legacy rooted in family, honor, and community. And now, it is where we pause—where we remember

There is something deeply powerful about honoring him here… not in a distant place, but right where his story started.

You can almost feel it.

The echoes of a bouncing basketball.
The quiet ripple of water from a fishing line cast long ago.
The pride of a father.
The promise of a son.

The dream of becoming a grandfater.

This dedication is not just a memorial—it is a full-circle moment.

A reminder that the streets that raise us shape the lives we lead.
That service is not born overnight—it is grown, nurtured, and lived.
And that even in loss, love and legacy find a way to stand strong… right where they belong.

Here, in sight of where he once called home, Officer Kominsky’s story continues.

Not just remembered.
Not just honored.

But rooted—forever—in the place that made him.

Who We Are and What We Represent

 WHO WE ARE
We are a nonprofit built from love, loss, and purpose — created to honor the life and legacy of Officer Michael T. Kominsky Sr., a devoted public servant, beloved family man, and proud member of the West Bridgewater Police Department for 29 years. Taken from us far too soon by melanoma cancer, Mike left behind more than a badge — he left a legacy of integrity, dedication, and quiet strength.

Our organization carries that legacy forward by supporting the next generation of law enforcement professionals. We provide scholarships to students at West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School who are inspired to follow in his footsteps and serve with the same heart and honor Mike lived by every day.

WHAT WE REPRESENT
We represent service. Sacrifice. Family.
We represent the power of remembrance — that even in loss, there is purpose.
We stand for opportunity, for the belief that one life can still shape many others.

We are here to remind the world that heroes live on not only in memory, but in action — through the futures we help build, the dreams we uplift, and the values we refuse to let fade.

"A Legacy of Service. A Future of Opportunity."
Until our last breath, we will honor his.
