Legacy Dedications
A Permanent Tribute to a Life of Service

To honor Officer Michael Thomas Kominsky Sr.’s life, service, and deep roots in the West Bridgewater community, several meaningful dedications have been established in locations that reflect who Mike was—not just as an officer, but as a son, a father, and a hometown hero.

These spaces serve as places of reflection, remembrance, and connection for all who knew and loved him.

Autumn Red Maple Tree Dedication
War Memorial Park – West Bridgewater
An Autumn Red Maple tree stands proudly in War Memorial Park—a living tribute that changes with the seasons, just as Mike’s impact continues to evolve and grow.

In the fall, its vibrant red leaves serve as a powerful symbol of strength, sacrifice, and enduring love. Throughout the year, it offers a place of quiet reflection for family, friends, and community members.

Memorial Bench by the Town River
War Memorial Park – West Bridgewater
Situated along the beautiful edge of the Town River, this memorial bench offers a peaceful place to sit, reflect, and remember.

It overlooks waters Mike knew well—waters that represent both calm and continuity. Whether you stop for a moment or stay awhile, it is a space meant to feel his presence and remember the man behind the badge.

Bryant Street / Arch Street Island Dedication
West Bridgewater, Massachusetts
Perhaps the most personal of all, the Bryant Street / Arch Street Island dedication sits within view of Mike’s childhood home.

This is where his story began.

As the son of a Police Chief Robert Kominsky, Mike grew up on these very streets—playing basketball, riding bikes, and fishing nearby at War Memorial Park. Years later, he would return to serve and protect the same community that helped shape him.

Now, this space stands as a full-circle tribute place where past, service, and legacy meet.

A Legacy you can Visit
These dedications are more than memorials—they are living reminders of a man who gave his life to his community.

They invite all who pass by to pause, reflect, and remember:
The officer who served with pride
The father who loved deeply
The man who made people feel seen, valued, and protected

Mike’s legacy is not confined to memory—
it lives on in the very places he once called home.
